The volunteer base
we have at the Victoria Faulkner Women’s Centre is only now just beginning
to be implemented. As a result, we have many opportunities available for
our volunteers and many volunteer initiatives are driven by volunteer
needs and input.
Following is a short list of volunteer
opportunities available; however, if you have something else in mind that
is not listed here, please contact us and discuss the possibility of
volunteering in another area and we would be happy to do what we can for
you.
- Fundraising (working to help with fundraising
events, planning and coming up with new fundraising ideas, donation
requests etc)
- Gardening
(gardening work often needs to be done in the summer months around the
perimeter of the building and in the garden beds around it)
- Office Work (filing, faxing, mailing, answering phones etc)
- Events we often need volunteers to assist with
various events throughout the year
